Responsible for all aspects of the planning and delivery of strategic programs. Builds relationships across the organization in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the WellCare business model and builds a trusted adviser relationship with business leaders and IT. Manages initiatives through advanced skills in project management and strong organizational relationships. Provides leadership and direction to matrixed teams to ensure the successful completion of complex enterprise programs. Responsible for coaching and management of ePMO resources, regular and contract.

Essential Functions:
  • Quickly and effectively understands business challenges and priorities while collaborating with business leaders to identify strategic initiatives and to translate these into programs with tactical goals and objectives that are measurable.
  • Responsible for the management of strategic initiatives. Works with leadership to ensure the program strategy meets the business objectives. Oversees all aspects of program planning, management and execution (scope, schedule and budget). Responsible for creating comprehensive project timelines including sign-off from all workstreams. Ensures the project team creates and maintains appropriate deliverables while following WellCare standards and best practices.
  • Performs intake and planning to scope and prioritize projects. Performs resource planning in order to meet demand, hiring staff when necessary.
  • Serves as the first escalation point for project issues and risks. Works directly with the project teams to resolve issues and create risk mitigation plans. Responsible for escalating well-formulated issues and risks to leadership. Can effectively communicate business and technology issues and solutions.
  • Drives program-level reporting to increase visibility and proactive monitoring of the program performance. Responsible for reporting program progress to all levels of the organization.
  • Responds timely to internal or external audit inquiries. Works to ensure all audit findings are appropriately documented and re-mediated.
  • Responsible for proactive management in areas such as risks, budget/forecast, dependencies, etc. Prepares strategic analysis of potential business and/or operational opportunities as needed.
  • Leads budget creation and management with business, technology and finance leadership. Responsible for updated actuals and forecasts.
  • Responsible for leading cross-functional teams, internal and external, through all phases of the project lifecycle to achieve project objectives. Encourages collaboration and ensures that all view points are represented and explored. Builds effective working relationships with the business and IT while holding team members accountable. Works to become a valued partner with the business and IT.
  • Coaches and manages the ePMO team. Manages associate performance by effectively communicating expectations and providing regular feedback with recommendations for development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate would have : -

  • Must have financial background
  • Working knowledge of capital and operating expenses

  • Understanding how projects are budgeted, how time is booked, and forecasting models.

  • Working knowledge on the process of tracking and communicating project ROI and all relevant business value

  • Extensive experience preparing presentations for Executive audience

  • Experience in both routine and ad-hoc reporting; analyze trends and make recommendations to senior leadership

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Drive process improvements across multiple departments and disciplines to effect positive outcomes

Candidate Education:
  • Required A Bachelor's Degree in Science (Information Technology, Engineering, etc.) or related field
  • Required or equivalent work experience within related field
Candidate Experience:
  • Required 5 years of experience in Formal Project Management
  • Required 3 years of management experience Leading cross-functional teams
  • Required 3 years of management experience Leading and managing a staff
  • Preferred Other Healthcare or Managed Care experience
  • Preferred Other Information Technology

Licenses and Certifications:
A license in one of the following is required:
  • Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP)
Technical Skills:
  • Required Intermediate Microsoft Outlook Demonstrated experience in Six Sigma soft skills such as technical communication plans, ARMI and other project planning industry tools
  • Required Intermediate Microsoft Word Strong experience in using DMAIC, DFSS, CAP, WorkOut, LEAN or other tools and application methodologies to identify process gaps and drive change
  • Required Intermediate Microsoft Excel Advanced in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
