Acts as the lead resource to draft product and program messages and position documents that serve as responses to RFP, bid requests and other business development channels. This position is a leader in the industry with strong messaging and distribution channels to instill key value propositions, functionality, population specific messages, and tools (case studies, testimonials). Understands the member Medicaid experience and what resonates with all stakeholders in that domain. Leads Product efforts to strategically plan, execute and measure national and field campaigns by creating and/or managing systems and tools. Provides analysis and recommendations regarding campaigns, process improvement suggestions, and presents analytical insights to upper management and business partners to help execute more effectively.
Develops and creates Medicaid product and program messaging and positioning documents that serve as responses for new business.
Demonstrates expert knowledge on the "buyer" State Departments of Medicaid, their targets for procurement, creates personas and understands our competitor product messaging.
Creates the "story" for the program that can be communicated via multi-channel mediums.
Coordinates the translation of complex programs and data points to clear and concise messages with proof points and trends.
Coordinates the accuracy and timeliness of content in communications through rigorous quality control, proofing, data checking and updating.
Creates the elevator pitch and program talking points for internal champions.
Implements, executes and monitors the effective execution of multi-media, multi-channel marketing campaigns for both the Medicaid (and Medicare, where applicable) lines of business for new markets.
Monitors internal and external messaging performance and incorporate performance improvements.
Works closely with proposal team to develop, write and prepare winning responses.
Creates and maintains competitive intelligence related to promotion, marketing, sales, and market positioning.
Works strategically with the market leadership to create the appropriate messaging and materials.
Performs other duties as assigned, especially to ensure the success of the team and the entire organization.
Additional Responsibilities:Candidate Education:
Required A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
Required 5 years of experience in coordinating the execution of marketing programs including print, TV, internet, direct mail and outdoor programs
Required Other Demonstrated experience in excellent written, verbal and visual skills with an ability to personally create high quality messaging and content
Required Other Insurance/Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, and Medicaid experience highly valued
Intermediate Other Understands effective marketing tactical execution techniques across all media types
Intermediate Other Ability to perform data management
Intermediate Other Ability to oversee and maintain budget management
Intermediate Other Ability to identify contingent/inter-related influencers of business results
Intermediate Other Motivated and self-directed
