Drives the development and management of Medicare, Medicaid and/or Exchange products, including the identification, evaluation, design and roll-out of new product offerings and product enhancements. Works through the organization as a product champion to measure and optimize product performance.

Essential Functions:
  • Directs the preparation of strategicanalysis of potential business and/or operational opportunities, includinggeographic expansion and new products.
  • Gathers and analyzes productintelligence, including key competitors, market trends, and industryinnovations.
  • Drives the benefit design/productdevelopment process in coordination with Actuarial Services, National Contracting/Ancillary,finance, local market leaders, and other identified business partners.
  • Responsible for ensuring comprehensiveexecution, monitoring and ongoing evaluation and continuous quality improvementof product.
  • Manages multiple product-relatedprojects from end-to-end, including developing project plans, establishingdeliverables and timelines, assigning responsibilities, facilitating meetingswith impacted teams, holding team members accountable, providing statusreports, removing barriers, acting as an escalation point, and ensuring goalsand objectives are met and completed in a timely manner with highquality.
  • Promotes product information tocross-functional teams to ensure each impacted area understands how the productfunctions and any related nuances.
  • Supports cross functional teams withthe necessary product knowledge and operational expertise to help achieveproduct-related goals for development, implementation, management, and growthof product.
  • Leads the development of trainingtools to support product design, regulatory filing, training, and execution.
  • Champions product performanceexcellence by actively monitoring products' performance, identifying issues andprocess improvements (financial, regulatory, and/or operational in nature) andworking cross-functionally to assess impact, develop a remediation plan, andexecute the plan.
  • Ensures the activities of thedepartment are in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulationsand all associates are trained and comply with the regulations.
  • Represents the team/department incross-functional meetings and to external customers/business partners.
  • Provides product-related statusreporting to management and stakeholders on a routine and ad-hoc basis.
  • Conducts product presentations tocross-functional teams.
  • Reviews and provides input on memberand provider materials to ensure product-related content is accurate.
  • Prepares for/participates in internaland external audits as required.
  • Recruits, on-boards, and retainstalent.
  • Provides leadership and oversight tocritical initiatives that support the growth and profitability of the business.
  • Works with Product leaders toestablish team goals and drive associates to successful attainment.
  • Manages associate performance byeffectively communicating expectations, gaging performance and goal attainment,and providing regular feedback with recommendations for development.
  • Performs supervisory functions inmanager's absence.
  • Drives product performance throughidentification, resolution and ongoing monitoring of key product metrics.
  • Performs other duties and specialproject as assigned.
Candidate Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Health Administration or related field; or equivalent work experience to include 2 additional years of experience in healthcare and/or health insurance
  • Preferred: Master's of Business Administration or Health Administration
Candidate Experience:
  • Required: 8 years of experience management, leading and/or supporting projects in the following areas: Benefit Design, Benefit Management and/or Administration, Strategic Planning, Marketing Management, and/or Project Management.
  • Required: 5 years of experience leading and/or managing others
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in Medicare Advantage and/or PDP
