Manages and coordinates activities in support of providing robust pharmacy analytic analysis for financial, operational and regulatory oversight. Responsibilities include routine and ad hoc reporting, interfacing with IT on data related issues and projects, supporting post-merger integration and new business launches, and advancing the state of the art in data management and pharmacy analytics.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides leadership oversight for critical ad hoc reporting across WellCare's entire book of businesses including both Medicare and Medicaid and manages the streamlining and automating of routine reports.
  • Leads discussions and provides critical input to enterprise stakeholders on data infrastructure issues such as pharmacy claims and network data.
  • Drives departmental initiatives to eliminate barriers impacting data integration and reporting analytics.
  • Provides technical subject matter expertise for data integration projects, post-merger integrations, and new business launches.
  • Oversees and responds to data needs for various audits by CMS, regional markets, and other entities.
  • Provides leadership to the team on the technical tools in data mining and modeling.
  • Manages and develops direct reports.
  • Collaborates with key partners across the enterprise, such as finance, pharmacy, quality and compliance to provide analytical and data leadership and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:Candidate Education:
  • Required A Bachelor's Degree in a related field with considerable analytic training
  • Preferred A Master's Degree in a related field
Candidate Experience:
  • Required 5 years of experience in experience in data mining tools and can independently manage & research large scale databases or data environments
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in working in a pharmacy analytics environment (working for an organization along the pharmaceutical supply chain or value chain such as pharmaceutical company, wholesaler, retail, payer, regulatory and advocacy entities or groups)
  • Preferred 2 years experience in leading/supervising others
Candidate Skills:
  • Advanced Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
