We are looking to hire an intern for Regulatory Affairs.
Regulatory Affairs is the lead department for the market's regulatory activities. RA monitors and manages State transactions including reporting, communications, submissions and filings/reviews. RA is responsible for developing and executing the Medicaid Regulatory Affairs strategy focused on publicly funded healthcare programs. Provides guidance, oversight and support to Regulatory Affairs teams with respect to contract administration and account management.

The Intern will:

  • Supports regulatory analysis, including the review, summarization and dissemination of key regulatory updates and changes.
  • Supports the management of the regulatory communications process. Ensures all regulatory communications/updates are received, summarized, catalogued, disseminated and acted upon.
  • Coordinates the filing of regulatory forms, reports, etc. Assists other departments in understanding and complying with regulatory requirements. Researches regulations, informs departments of regulations, and assists as needed in developing procedures to comply, as well as drafting responses to queries by regulatory agencies.
  • Works with different functional areas to implement mandates, regulations, and corrective action plans.
  • Assist with the development of ad-hoc reports to conduct data analysis and validation.
  • Researches methodologies and conducts metric reporting.Essential Functions:
  • Participate on work teams, contribute to projects and initiatives, and perform various tasks as needed by the assigned unit/department.
  • May perform analytical work within the assigned functional area.
  • Perform research and prepare reports on assigned topics and /or projects.
  • May create or update systems or databases for specific department needs.
  • Work with departments and/or vendors to gather information needed for various projects.
  • Present project results to department personnel or management.
Candidate Education:
  • Required Other Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a college program with course work related to the internship with a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.
Candidate Experience:
  • Required No Experience
