Accountable for Enterprise Architecture direction and strategy in the assigned architecture Discipline for enterprise-scale distributed systems (Business, Technical, Data or Infrastructure). Leads, establishes, communicates, and ensures the implementation of the overall architecture strategy for the assigned Discipline. Coordinates strategies with other Discipline architects, participates in Solution Architecture activities, and works with the appropriate business and IT stakeholders to ensure the development, acceptance and implementation of the long term application development technology plan.
Creates, maintains, and publishes the Enterprise Architectural standards, guidelines, and Roadmaps for the assigned discipline
Proactively researches industry knowledge and best practices in assigned discipline and is the demonstrated organizational expert in that Discipline.
Provides training, mentoring and coaching of executives, business partners, and all of IT on the Architecture and guides the effective application of the tools, techniques, and best practices established.
Participates in the Architecture reviews of new project designs. Assists development teams to create the architecture artifacts required as part of the software engineering process.
Assist in or lead vendor evaluation and selection activities for technology solutions
Partner with various stake holders in IT and business to define medium term and long term vision for platforms and architecture.
Evaluates, defines, and communicates Scalabilty issues, challenges, and solutions that ensure corporate growth capability unconstrained by IT Architecture
Educates Enterprise Solution Architects on their specific domains and assists ESAs in the application of proper solution design for their discipline
Performs other duties assigned.
•For Business Architect: oParticipates in business strategy discussions and direction settings and translates that information into system and application demands oDocuments and establishes the Business Architecture of Capabilities and Products for the organizational platforms oDeep Health Care Payer industry and strategy knowledge
•For Information Architect: oAssist in the definition and maturity of the Data Governance and Data Quality programs oPartner with the data strategy development leads to drive continued operational efficiency in our delivery of data oEstablish standards for database design and modeling. Educate and support data modelers, DBAs and application development team to ensure effective use and deployment of database designs oCoordinate and oversee implementation of MDM, Master Dictionary, and Data Integrity rule sets oDemonstrated experience with Hadoop, GreenPlum, and other big data strategies
•For Technical Architect: oDefine and communicate application designs and strategy for all application platforms oDetailed technical knowledge of large-scale application design and architecture, including metrics, content management, reporting, and scalability challenges with both the application and the reporting/operational applications utilized to support application oDefine and educate audiences on UI standard, frameworks, and guidelines; search engine technologies ; and privacy and security technologies applicable to internally facing and external applications
•For Infrastructure Architect oExperience in scaling infrastructure platforms for server, network, telecom, and storage technologies in a large scale environment that includes n-tier, client server, and "mainframe" technologies oDemonstrated currency on vendor platform, virtualization, and desktop offerings
Required A Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Preferred A Master's Degree in a related field
Required 7 years of experience in IT and Architecture
Preferred 3 years of experience in HealthCare
