Independently supports/consults with HRBPs and client groups on highly complex employee relations cases in order to achieve legally sound resolutions. Develops and executes employee relations resource strategies, programs, services and solutions that are designed to enable the company to successfully meet business goals. Interacts with and leverages expertise of the following areas to resolve employee relations cases: talent management, talent acquisition, organizational design, organizational effectiveness, change management and leadership development. Leads additional cross functional activities or projects. Provides mentoring and/or direct leadership to other ER staff as assigned.

Essential Functions:
Independently takes proactive consultative approach with HRBPs and people leaders to anticipate, define and provide legally sound solutions to resolve complex employee relations cases/matters. Provides advise on how to interpret and implement HR policies and procedures.
Works closely with Legal and Compliance to investigate and resolve complex employee relations cases/matters.
Serves as a subject matter expert of employment laws and HR cases and appropriately applies information to employee relations matters/consultations. Creates legally sound solutions to complex cases and maximize opportunities for the success of the associates and the business.
Reviews and approves final dispositions of all leave cases, workers' compensation claims and ADA cases before execution.
Coordinates and conducts investigations and climate surveys as needed. Creates and maintains investigation reports on all ER-related activities.
Leads in the development, implementation and administration of ER/HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through various employee communications.
Meets regularly with the Company's employment corporate counsel regarding advise on ER cases, etc.
Works closely with the HRBPs and People Leaders to understand ER trends and advise on risks to associate engagement and morale. Assists HRBPs with retention strategies to support the business and reduce turnover.
Utilizes reports and HR dashboards to provide predictive analysis for future changes or decisions.
Assists Director with all department communication efforts as assigned.
Develops, designs, implements and facilitates ER training programs.
Participates and/or leads large scale projects for the ER department as well as the HR department, as a whole.
Proactive participate in HR-wide initiative and projects.
Coordinates/manages work of lower level ER staff as assigned. Provides leadership guidance in the absence of the director.
