Sr Dir, Application Development - Digital Applications/Transformation

Responsible for establishing the strategy, planning, budgeting, resourcing, and delivery of IT systems, services and projects in order to maximize the benefit of Information Technology across the business. Drive business and IT engagement through team leadership, technical expertise by working closely with the business partners to identify, prioritize, and define solutions. Develop and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals that ensure the highest degree of user satisfaction by providing high-quality, high-availability information technology and services. Operates with a focus on continuous improvement, partnership, results and ROI. Exhibits a strong work ethic and inspires confidence as a technology steward. Responsible for advancing the modernization of our platforms in alignment with our core business objectives and technical architecture.

Essential Functions:
  • Manages and leads a team of dedicated IT professionals by coaching, mentoring and leading by example.
  • Participates in the planning, and oversees the implementation, of strategies aligned to functional area.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership to proactively develop relationships and manage communications with key stakeholders.
  • Provides vision and supports actions to ensure innovation and competitiveness in terms of products, services and technologies to enhance time to market.
  • Continually evaluates new technology trends balancing the need for “enterprise ready” technology with a desire to innovate.
  • Contributes to the development of IT budget, forecasts and long-range plans. Responsible for fiscal performance of function managed.
  • Works in conjunction with other IT leadership to create, test and refine a company wide Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity plan.
  • Investigates, initiates, and manages process and cost saving improvement initiatives.
  • Fosters a positive, constructive culture within the team and being a focused, results-oriented leader capable of delivering significant technology initiatives and outstanding IT support/internal operations.
  • Ensures appropriate technical standards and procedures are defined.
  • Sets overall goals, performance standards, and operational priorities and manages resources to operational goals and budget.
  • Establishes objectives, schedules, and cost data for the business of the function being managed.
  • Understands development needs and will be able to create/support waterfall or agile methodologies.
  • Manages delivery through internal matrixed team and/or vendor engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:

    Candidate Education:

    • Required A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Required Other 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
    • Preferred A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
    Candidate Experience:
    • Required 10 years of experience in Information Systems
    • Required 5 years of management experience
    • Required deep understanding of containers (Deployment), Other negotiating software and hardware contracts and licenses.
    • Required Other experience “starting up” and delivering against an Information Systems initiative. Effective analyst in reviewing current practices, identifying improved approaches, and proposing same
    • Required Other managing re-engineering and implementation projects
