Pharmacy Ops Support / Training Specialist - Arizona

With a goal of providing quality focused customer service to members and providers, this position will deliver job-specific training programs in support of pharmacy team members and develop tools and resources to be utilized by the department. Core focus and responsibilities include training, quality reviews, new business strategies and implementations, and the identification of process improvements.

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitates training and learning programs for new hires and tenured team members via classroom and nesting environments.
  • Assesses, implements and evaluates instructional materials including training manuals, facilitation guides, training activities, assessments, job aids and step action materials.
  • Creates and maintains resources such as timely updates to training, announcements, step actions, reference tools, FAQs etc.
  • Revises existing materials based on audit results, questionnaires, changing procedures and feedback from internal/external customers, subject matter experts, vendors, and state and government partners.
  • Reviews training program content for accuracy and effectiveness to ensure the learning programs meet the needs of the department.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements process improvement initiatives.
  • Investigates problems of a moderately complex nature and provides findings, impact, remediation, and preventative actions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participates in key projects aimed at improvement, growth or system enhancements.
  • Plays an active role in the UAT process; partnering with internal/external partners to monitor and track results.

    Candidate Education:
    • Required An Associate's Degree in a related field
    • Required or equivalent work experience to include 2 years of managed care experience
    Candidate Experience:
    • Required 3 years of experience in Teaching, mentoring or leading others in a pharmacy, clinical practice or provider setting
    • Preferred Other Previous experience in a customer service, managed care or health insurance environments
    • Preferred Other Previous Pharmacy Supervisory experience
