Mgr, Medicare Sales

Recruits, trains, monitors (to include counseling), and motivates the outreach, member retention and field-based sales teams to prospect for, enroll and retain eligibles in the Medicare Advantage program. Provides oversight of all marketing/retention/sales activities related to distribution of resources, production reports, commission payouts, and mentoring of sales representatives on team. Presents and/or trains individual representatives to present the Medicare Advantage using approved presentation materials for in-home, telephonic and seminar settings. Ensures that Medicare Advantage plans are presented providing full disclosure, and in compliance with corporate policy and procedure. All other duties as assigned by Sales Director.

Essential Functions:
  • Motivates sales team to achieve annual enrollment goals.
  • Utilizes corporate sales support as a resource to achieve maximum results.
  • Manages the day to day functions of sales team including submission of enrollment forms, commission payouts, representative evaluations, training, and mentoring.
  • Assists team in generation of referrals for new business in order to reduce corporate lead dependency.
  • Utilizes territorial model philosophy to maximize team marketing efforts in attaining new enrollments.
  • Leverages available resources to meet monthly/annual disenrollment rate targets, along with other member retention metrics.
  • Manages team to achieve acceptable level of enrollments utilizing sources other than supported by corporate.
  • Provides oversight of field-based marketing teams to ensure sufficient quality lead volume to meet monthly enrollment targets.
  • Manages local telephonic outreach activity to ensure all enrollment objectives are met.
  • Checks all enrollment paperwork for accuracy.
  • Provides guidance to more junior associates based on WellCare’s best practice to improve performance and effectiveness.
  • Strictly adheres to the CMS and WellCare’s Marketing MIPPA regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
    Candidate Education:
    • Required An Associate's Degree in a related field
    • Required A High School or GED
