Location: Tampa, FL Idlewild
WellCare has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Manager of Operations to join our team! This position is based at our Tampa (Idlewild) location and is convenient to Tampa International Airport, International Plaza and the Westshore district. This position offers a full benefits package including, 3 weeks of paid time off and is bonus eligible.
Our ideal candidate is a provider data expert-someone with reimbursement knowledge who understands ‘big picture’ while coaching the team to maintain production standards (QA). S/he will have solid communication skills to include speaking in meetings to various levels of the organization/markets. This role has a lot of upper leadership visibility thus many opportunities for personal growth. This person will have strong organizational skills, understanding of priorities and be able to drive deliverables without reminders and follow ups. Intermediate to advanced Excel is needed in this role as there is a large amount of data analysis. SAS or Access experience a definite plus. It will also require solid project management and planning abilities. This position has potential for some work from home days once goals and standards are met.

Manage the activities of the Configuration Department. Build strong relationships with key functional areas. Responsible for all performance results of the Configuration Department.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the performance management processes for direct reports including coaching, counseling, providing feedback, career planning, goal setting, and performance assessment.
  • Manages process improvement initiatives, seeking root cause and developing appropriate corrective action.
  • Establishes objectives, goals and performance measures for the function being managed.
  • Coordinates activities to ensure key deliverables are met and resolves conflicting demands.
  • Serves as primary contact for complex configuration issues.
  • Assists in developing short range plans for overall departmental activities
  • May oversee the implementation of programs and strategies
  • May act in liaison capacity with other areas and business units
  • May make recommendations on matters of policy and approve changes in area of expertise.
Additional Responsibilities:
    Candidate Education:
    • Required A High School or GED
    • Preferred A Bachelor's Degree in a related field
    Candidate Experience:
    • Required 5 years of experience in related provider data management
    • Required 2 years experience in leading/supervising others
    Candidate Skills:
    • Advanced Other Knowledge of provider data management and provider contract configuration.
    • Intermediate Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills
    • Intermediate Other Develop successful working relationships with key functional areas (ie.Provider Relations, Claims, Credentialing, etc..)
