Manager, Talent Acquisition

Provides management on operational effectiveness and workload balancing to ensure appropriate recruitment processes are being executed in a consistent and timely manner within service delivery expectations. Drives proactive recruiting strategies that support the business objectives and attracts highly qualified candidates. Collaborates with business leaders to design, implement, utilize and track progress of service level agreements that outline shared accountability in the hiring process. Educates hiring managers regarding Talent Acquisitions' established policies and practices. Trains and mentors direct reports. Partners with peers relative to branding, sourcing tools and technology, vendor management, and/or third-party vendor contracts. Participates in activities related to expansion activities, college recruiting, and branding & social media initiatives.

Scope / Area of Responsibility: manages a team of 6-8 clinical recruiters who recruit across all states.

Essential Functions:

  • Acts as primary point of contact for HRBP’s, executive business leaders and hiring managers for area(s) of responsibility relative to the recruitment process.
  • Manages, mentors and trains a team of Recruiters / Sr. Recruiters.
  • Manages personnel issues and processes (where applicable), including performance management, performance evaluations and development planning.
  • Manages workload activities for area(s) of responsibility and redistributes work as necessary.
  • Oversees training of newly hired team members with responsibility for successful onboarding.
  • Leads recruitment strategies and Talent Acquisition initiatives for area(s) of responsibility. Develops subject matter expertise in field(s) of focus and ensures comprehensive candidate pipelines to support growth initiatives are developed.
  • Identifies and implements operational strategies to impact costs through continual process improvements and reduction of costs per hire.
  • Ensures accurate reporting. Performs quality audits of processes within area(s) of responsibility to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Takes ownership for operational effectiveness, driving recruitment processes, requisition status and requisition management. Ensures the appropriate recruitment strategies are in place to limit aged requisitions.
  • Educates and influences managers regarding market landscape and potential sourcing strategies to ensure the most cost effective methodology is employed to build candidate pipelines.
  • Promotes realistic time to fill metrics.
  • Drives the utilization of selection tools and technology to improve the hiring and selection process.
  • Improves operational efficiency by providing guidance to recruiting team members, hiring managers and internal associates / candidates regarding employment policies and procedures.
  • Assists HRBPs and Compensation in updating job descriptions and requirements as market changes. Keeps abreast of competitor hiring practices, market availability of skillsets and market data salary shifts.
  • May recruit for high visibility positions. May conduct in-depth screening for potential candidates referred to the company.
  • May produce professional presentations and training materials.
  • Acts as internal subject matter expert regarding internal applicant tracking system.
  • Leads department projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidate Education:
  • Required A Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications, human resources, or a related field or equivalent work experience directly related to the essential functions and responsibilities of the position
Candidate Experience:
  • Required 6 years of experience in specialized recruitment, staffing, and/or RPO staffing experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Required 1 year of experience in a corporate Talent Acquisition environment
  • Required 1 year experience in leading/supervising others
  • Clinical recruiting experience highly desired
  • Required Other Knowledgeable in various employment laws, including EEO
  • Required Other Solid background in marketing/sourcing techniques, including cold calling, networking, research, database management
  • Preferred Other Experience in a Managed Healthcare environment
  • Preferred Other Experience in laws related to FCRA, pre-adverse and adverse action
