LTC Community Relations Spec

LTC Community Relations Specialist-Manhattan-NY:

Develops relationships with community groups and organizations to establish opportunities to optimize enrollments for WellCare's Managed Long Term Care Plans in the downstate counties of New York.

Reports to: Senior Director, LTC Clinical and Enrollment

Department: Health Services

Position location: Manhattan, NY

Essential Functions:

  • Targets and secures key account relationships.
  • Manages and develops long term relationships with all community organizations and builds credibility in the market.
  • Seeks prospective relationships through phone calls, face to face meetings and community council conferences.
  • Attends business and trade functions relating to membership growth.
  • Work with the enrollment nurses and outreach team to determine the most effective groups and organizations within our service area.
  • Continually monitors activities of health industry competitors and provides information to management.
  • Coordinates events and activities
  • Work with the Trainer to develop and introduce WellCare’s managed care plan when applicable.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
    Candidate Education:
    • Required A High School or GED
    • Required or equivalent work experience
    • Preferred A Bachelor's Degree in a related field
