Intern I- IT, Enterprise Information Management - Customer Engagement & Clinical Reporting

EIM (Enterprise Information Management) supports the WellCare business through a vast range of data integrations, on-demand and cyclical reporting, and data insights – while drawing upon and managing thousands of information sources.

Essential Functions:

The intern will be placed directly on a core team and perform responsibilities that align with their background, skills and career goals. This will involve shadowing various members of the team, attending project meetings, and learning technical systems and relevant healthcare industry concepts. The intern will be assigned deliverables that may include requirements, analysis, documentation, troubleshooting problems and hands-on development – in accordance with the abilities of the intern. In-house technologies include Oracle, Greenplum, Hadoop, Informatica, Data Science tools, Tableau among others.

  • Learn supported IT systems, WellCare business, Corporate Workplace tools, policies & etiquette
  • Participate in the support of existing systems, consisting of monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and remediation of system issues
  • Participate in Analysis, Requirements, Design and/or Development as part of a project or system enhancement. May also participate in Data Science related initiatives

    Candidate Education:
    • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a college program with course work/major in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Decision Information Systems with a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.
    Candidate Experience:
    • Required No Experience

    Technical Skills:
    • SQL, Analysis, Knowledge of Databases.
    • Experience in SDLC, programming, data warehousing / integration, data science are a plus.
