Intern I- IT, Enterprise Information Management - Business Intelligence Center of Excellence

The Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI COE) team partners with the Business Intelligence development community that supports users across the company. The goal of the BI COE team is to enhance the end user experience with the company intranet site, support the business with the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards and provide training for on-going support.

BI COE Role
  • Establishing Standards and Best Practices
  • Build efficiencies with BI space
  • Knowledge share across enterprise within BI space
  • Partner with IT and Business to establish certified data sources
  • Partner with our vendors to support ongoing efforts
  • Build robust controls for Governance
  • Provide Training, assessments and conduct Proof of concepts.
  • Support and Extend community development
  • Advisory and Consultation Services

Essential Functions:

  • Support the team with design and development of areas within SharePoint
  • Develop How To and Best Practices Video Snippets

  • Develop a work flow within SharePoint that supports certification of “how to” documents. Complete build and deployment of user stories as part of the scope.
    Candidate Education:
    • Required: Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a college program with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or Business Intelligence with a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.

    Candidate Experience:
    • Required No Experience
    Technical Skills:

    Must have: One or more of (Java, .NET, AJAX) Plus SQL
    Nice to have: SharePoint Development, Tableau, Crystal, Excel, SharePoint or Web Development
