Intern I- IT, Application Development - Application Delivery - Member Management

This team provides technology tools to WellCare agents, members and providers aligned with organizational goals of better quality and satisfaction through our technology. We drive business empowerment by enabling self-service features through critical tools. We bring digitization & analytics to the Community Advocacy group as well as the rest of the company.

Essential Functions:

  • Gain hands on experience trouble shooting production issues
  • Increase knowledge of computer skills and technology like Java, C#, PL/SQL
  • Update and write technical documentation
  • Learn maintenance and performance tuning of applications
  • Learn planning, organizational and time management skills and adapt to changes
  • Work in a large team and communicate with other team members
  • Learn details about the application’s implementation and administration and understand technical details
  • Learn about government sponsored health insurance programs and compliance, quality ,star ratings and how WellCare members are eligible for Medicaid and Medicare and the Information needed to enroll a member into the WellCare System
Candidate Education:
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a college program with major in Information Technology with a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.
Candidate Experience:
  • Required No Experience
Technical Skills:
  • Any programming language experience will help, preferably some basic SQL and .NET experience
