Intern I - IT, Infrastructure - Release and DevOps

The IT Release and DevOps department is responsible for the administration of all DevOps tools, application deployments and processes associated with Release and Change Management. This includes improving the quality, availability, efficiency and speed to market of our business needs which is accomplished mainly thru automation.

Essential Functions:

This intern will learn the various activities involved with being an IT Release Engineer.

  • Gain a solid understanding of DevOps and Release Automation tools and processes, and contribute by implementing at least 1 operation in the program thru current workflows of a tool, or develop a script or program to automate a DevOps initiative
  • Gain a solid understanding of the Release and Change Management review and approval processes by reviewing and approving changes for Non-Production and Production
  • Gain a solid understanding of the Release and Change Management processes by reviewing the documentation and providing process improvement suggestions. Make appropriate updates to the documentation

Candidate Education:
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a college program with a major in Management Information Systems or Computer Science with a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.
Candidate Experience:
  • Required No Experience
Technical Skills:
  • Any experience in coding or developing in java, .net, or any scripting languages

  • Any experience in the software development lifecycle

  • Any experience with Windows, Linux or Unix operating systems

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
