Intern I - IT, Application Development - Application Delivery - Operations

The department performs development and support of Encounter submissions for Medicare to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and Medicaid submissions to each state, in addition to support of CoreWorkflow and ClaimsPath applications.

Essential Functions:

The intern will gain experience with a large process oriented organization and increase knowledge of technologies like C#, PL/SQL, MS SQL, Java, Informatica, PEGA, Web Services.

  • Develop code
  • Understand specifications and documentation
  • Update and write technical documentation
  • Work with Software Engineers to support ongoing projects
  • Learn maintenance and performance tuning
  • Understand the importance or time management and multi-tasking
  • Gain exposure to enterprise application architecture, coding standards, patterns and practices with C#, Oracle, and MS SQL
Candidate Education:
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a college program with a major in Computer Science or Information Systems and a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.
Candidate Experience:
  • Required No Experience

Technical Skills:

  • Any programming language experience preferably some basic SQL, C#, and .NET
