Intern I - Finance, Real Estate- Facilities

The Real Estate/Facilities Department locates, leases, constructs and maintains the office spaces for the entire enterprise. The department has grown to over twenty associates and 2.5 million square feet of responsibility.The department consists of facilities coordinators, engineers, managers, and mail intake specialists. These roles report into a Director of Real Estate and Sr. Director of Corporate Real Estate. The entire department rolls up under the VP of Corporate Finance and Treasurer.

The intern will be provided the opportunity to see many areas of WellCare in an environment suited for professional growth as well as to create and implement processes and procedures key to the department’s development, while providing support for tickets and work orders.

Essential Functions:

Work with Facilities Managers and support staff to update and create policies and procedures:

  • Consolidate and create at least one role specific associate workbook. This workbook will define and provide an overview of the function and responsibilities of a specific role within the Real Estate/Facilities department
  • Support work load with completion of tickets and work orders
  • Update databases such as NEOWorks and eMaint
  • Implement a Facilities department playbook. This playbook will define key Facilities processes and procedures
  • Update current KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) and define new ones for key Facilities processes

Candidate Education:
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a college program with course work/major related to management or project management and a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.
