HR Support Specialist I

Serves as initial point of contact for all inbound inquiries related to Human Resources. Provides assistance for all Tier 1 questions and issues, using a knowledgebase of information and established processes and protocols to respond to inquiries. Provides support to other Human Resource Operations activities as needed including associate file maintenance, data entry and data retrieval.

Essential Functions:
  • Responds to associate inquiries via the Human Resources Service Center (HRSC) ticketing system and phone queue in a timely and efficient manner. Prioritizes issues and escalates more complex issues to Tier II support or Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Handles high volume of incoming calls in a call center environment.
  • Reviews and interprets associate data to resolve issues with demonstrated sensitivity and respect at all times.
  • Creates and maintains detailed record of all interactions in the ticketing system. Provides education and guidance to associates about available tools and resources.
  • Supports the continuous improvement and development of documenting processes and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, new hire orientation, data entry and maintenance of associate files.
Additional Responsibilities:
    Candidate Education:
    • Required A High School or GED
    • Preferred An Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field
    Candidate Experience:
    • Required 3 years of experience in Human Resources or relevant field. A college degree may be substituted for some or all of the experience
    • Preferred 1 year of experience in Benefits administration
